Terms of Use
Last updated 2 November 2026. Written in plain English, so you know where you stand.
Who we are
Bid Bestie is run by MDH Consultancy Solutions Limited, a company registered in England and Wales with company number 14000724, which also trades as Bidsmithery. Our registered office is Prosper House, 18 Craig Hopson Avenue, Castleford, England, WF10 5US. When these terms say "we" or "us", they mean MDH Consultancy Solutions Limited. If you have any questions, email hello@bidbestie.com.
By creating an account or using Bid Bestie, you agree to these terms. Please also read our Privacy Policy, which explains how we look after your information.
What Bid Bestie is, and what it is not
Bid Bestie helps you find and organise UK public sector opportunities. We collect notices published on Contracts Finder and Find a Tender, and present them in one place with search, filters, alerts and plain English summaries.
We work hard to keep our copy of those notices complete and up to date, but we cannot promise that every notice is shown, or that every detail matches the original at every moment. Buyers change notices, and the government services that publish them sometimes have delays or faults. Always read the original notice and tender documents before you decide to bid, and rely on the dates and requirements in those documents.
Bid Bestie is a search tool. It is not bid writing or bid advice, and using it does not guarantee that you will win any contract.
Finding opportunities is down to you
Bid Bestie is there to make searching easier, but it is not a guarantee that you will hear about every opportunity. An opportunity might not appear because a buyer published it somewhere we do not cover, because it was published or changed after we last checked, because of a delay or fault with the government services we collect from, or because it did not match your search, filters or saved searches.
It is your responsibility to make sure you find the opportunities that matter to your business, and we are not responsible for any opportunity you did not see, or saw too late, through Bid Bestie.
Your bidding decisions are yours
Whether you go for an opportunity, decide not to, or stop partway through is entirely your decision. The same goes for what you put in your bid and how much time and money you spend on it. We are not responsible for the outcome, including if you bid and do not win, or if you decide not to bid.
Biddy's summaries and suggestions
Biddy uses AI to summarise notices and suggest how well they fit your business. These are there to save you time, not to replace your own judgement. AI can misread things or miss details, so check anything important against the original notice.
Your account
- Give us accurate details and keep them up to date.
- Keep your login details private. Each account is for one person.
- Bid Bestie is designed for businesses, charities, social enterprises and the people who work for them. You must be 18 or over to create an account.
Free accounts
A free account lets you run three searches a day and see the opportunities that match. Summaries, filters, saved searches, alerts and the full sorting of results are part of membership. We may change what free accounts include, and we will update the pricing page when we do.
Founding membership, trials and payment
- Founding membership costs £19 a month, or £190 a year, including VAT. You keep that price for as long as your membership continues without a break. The price for new members will later go up to £29 a month including VAT; we will give notice on the pricing page first.
- New members get a seven day free trial. No card is needed to start it. To carry on after the trial, you will be asked for card details.
- Payments are taken in advance, monthly or yearly depending on the plan you choose, by our payment provider, Stripe. We do not see or store your full card details.
- You will get a VAT invoice for every payment, and you can download past invoices from your account for your records or your accountant.
- If a payment fails, we will let you know and give you a chance to update your details before membership features are paused.
- We will give you at least 30 days' notice by email before any price change affects you.
Cancelling
You can cancel at any time from your account. Your membership stays active until the end of the month you have already paid for, and then it will not renew. We do not give refunds for part months, unless the law says we must.
Fair use
Please do not:
- share your account or sell access to it
- copy, scrape or download Bid Bestie in bulk, or use automated tools to access it
- try to get around search limits, access controls or security
- use Bid Bestie for anything unlawful
If an account breaks these terms, we may pause or close it. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will tell you first and give you a chance to put things right.
Who owns what
The notices themselves are public sector information. They contain public sector information licensed under the Open Government Licence v3.0. The Bid Bestie website, its design, Biddy and our summaries belong to us.
Keeping Bid Bestie running
We aim to keep Bid Bestie available and working well, but there may be times when it is unavailable for maintenance or because of problems outside our control, including problems with the government services we collect notices from. We may improve or change features over time.
Our responsibility to you
We are not responsible for any opportunity that did not reach you through Bid Bestie, a contract you did not win or did not bid for, a missed deadline, the cost of preparing a bid, or lost profits, income or business. Our total responsibility to you for anything relating to Bid Bestie is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the problem happened.
Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for anything the law does not allow us to limit, such as fraud, or death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as Bid Bestie grows. If a change makes a real difference to you, we will email you before it takes effect. The date at the top shows when they were last updated.
The law that applies
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
